Common Questions
When should I aerate?
Late August through September is ideal in Central Mass. Spring aeration is also effective if your lawn shows compaction symptoms early.
Will aeration damage my sprinkler system?
Not if heads are marked. Please flag your irrigation heads, valves, and any shallow utilities before we arrive.
Should I clean up the plugs?
No. Leave them. They break down in 1–2 weeks and return organic matter and microbes to the soil surface.
Can I aerate every year?
Yes — annual aeration is appropriate for most lawns, and high-traffic or clay-heavy properties often benefit from twice a year.
