Fertilization
A green lawn isn't luck — it's a feeding schedule that matches what your turf actually needs across the season. We start with a soil test to see what's missing (nitrogen, potassium, pH, organic matter) and build a 4–6 application program around the results.
Every Fertilization job includes:
- Soil test before the first application
- 4–6 applications spaced across the growing season
- Slow-release nitrogen sources to prevent burn
- Calibrated spreader passes — no streaks or skips
- Spring green-up, summer stress, and fall root-builder feedings
- Optional lime application if soil pH is low
- Written record of every application and rate

From inquiry to results
Soil test
We pull a sample from your lawn and read pH, organic matter, and major nutrients before recommending a program.
Custom program design
Based on the test, we propose 4–6 applications timed to your lawn type and Central Mass weather.
Seasonal applications
We show up on schedule, post the property as required, and leave a flag with what was applied.
Mid-season check-in
We walk the lawn at the halfway point and adjust the back half of the program if needed.

Common Questions
Is the fertilizer safe for kids and pets?
Yes — once it has been watered in (about 24 hours, or after the next rain), the lawn is safe for normal use. We post the property at the time of application as required by Massachusetts.
How long until I see results?
Most properties show a visible color change within 7–14 days of the first feeding. Density and thickness improve over a full season of consistent applications.
Do I need a soil test every year?
No. We typically test in year one and then every 2–3 years unless something changes (new sod, drainage work, etc.).
Can I combine fertilization with weed control?
Yes — many of our applications are combination products that fertilize and target broadleaf weeds in the same pass, which saves visits and cost.
